Medifast to Hold Special Investor Presentation on December 11th
Company to Raise 2004 Guidance and Provide Detailed Results on the Johns Hopkins University Study at the Event

Medifast, Inc. announced today that it would hold a special investor presentation on Thursday, December 11th at 4:30 p.m. at the New York Athletic Club, located at 180 Central Park South in Manhattan. The Company expects to increase its fiscal 2004 guidance at that time from the $36 million in revenues it previously announced, as a result of the success of the National Television Test Ad Campaign conducted in September. The Company also will provide detailed results from its two-year study conducted by researchers from Johns Hopkins University. The purpose of the study was to examine the health effects of weight reduction for overweight and obese type II diabetics using Medifast's products.

The by-invitation only event will be open to analysts, institutional investors and brokers.
